Qutoed of the day.

"If you take me to one more spot that the 561 boys already skated and they already did the trick I want to do I'm going home." - Joel Meinholz

Well my day yesterday was spent shoffering around the Joel, Ed Selego, Fred Gall, and filmer Joe Perrin. We met up at the brick quarter pipes and skated for a while. Ed almost landed fs 180 to switch bs 5-0, probably one of the most difficult tricks to be done on it. Ryan Nix showed up for about ten minutes and then left to go get a beer and never came back. Fred got two tricks with out a doubt will be in the "Inhabitants" video which according to them will be out by Halloween. Fred will have his own shoe here, out by holiday 07, he was rocking it and it was a good looking shoe, for those of you going to expo, I'm sure you will see it there. We ventured over to a abandon golf course but it was filled with some water. Fred was super hyped on it and said he was gonna come back to skate it. We skated a few other spots, Ed and Joel were super hyped on all the spots, and I showed them footage of other spots, and they said that they are gonna make another trip back over here soon.

Habitat will be announing a new pro at expo too. Goes by the name of Steve...

Ed, Fred and Joel will be coming to Stuart on Friday to skate a few spots that I showed them, so maybe you will see us around.

"I'm going to get a beer, its to hot to skate right now." - Ryan Nix

John Clayton via HD

So I finally will show off a little of what the panasonic has been doing for me. Not much, just a long lens shot. The first clip is just the vx2000, still waiting on the lens for the HVX. Hopefully it will be here within two weeks, Century has been getting in glass but has been shipping it back due to the quality. As fustrating as it is not having the lens, its good to know that they believe in the best quality over there.

busy

So I have been super busy and will continue to be. I shot a film all this week 9am-9pm. I have to go in tomorrow, 7am-5pm. Last Saturday night was the Listen video premiere here. All I can say is go get a copy for yourself. Good skateboarding and good soundtrack, nice to hear something a little different. I noticed that in the credits that Danny Montoya was the producer of it. (person who puts the money forth to pay for it) On the subject of Montoya, what an amazing part he had, along with Rob G closing it out. I think that Montoya could have had last part, but I have a feeling that this maybe one of the last Rob G parts we may see. A friend has informed me that sitings of the Lakia team in Barcalona, Guy doing switch 360 flip lipslides on a hand rail, and a fakie 360 flip switch manuel, fs shuvit out at Parralle.

Besides that I organized this for my good friend who recently broke his leg in two places two weeks ago. Be there or be rectangular.

broken boards

Only the 4th board I think I have actually ever broken skateboarding. I had to get a board but Orlando skate shops carry all of like 5 brands and none of those brands are Blueprint or Cliche. There were a few Habitats but all had weird shapes, so I had to get a Zero and hook it up. Reppin 16 blocks.

I could but Im not

Go to the Landscape website and watch the trailer for their video. For Soy's sake at least, he rips, the euro version of Theny, that actually skates. Snowy is badass too. I would post all the videos from their site on here, but just go watch them yourself, you will be glad you did.

two weeks in a row

So I got him out of Tampa for the second weekend in a row. Clocking footy. We are you fools at?

Monday, August 13, 2007

So its been a long ass weekend without a doubt. Friday, Brandon, Ryan O'Connor and myself left Orlando here to go down to Stuville for weekend. We made a quick stop at Malabar seeings Ryan has never got to skate it before. He did a few tricks and we were back on our way south. When we got there, I dropped the two off at the shop and I had to do a few things. Ended up meeting up with them at the beach and then went to golden gate for a quick session. I think by far it was one of the best sessions I have seen go down at good old golden gate. Ryan and Brandon doing back to back 360 flips across the pyramid and a ton of other tricks. Saturday we went up to Undercover Skateshop for round two of their grand opening and best trick contest. Ryan won the best trick contest with a so many tricks it was amazing. Brandon, Ryan and myself went skate Tim Kulas's new mini ramp in Ft. Pierce right up the street from the shop. Every one was having fun until this...

Gumby Leg

So Ryan was doing a fs ollie and slipped out and broke it in two places. A fracture and a spiral fracture is what the doctor said. So Brandon, his boo and myself where at the hospital until 4 am Sunday morning.

Ryan and Brandon

Ryan called me 5 times once I left the hospital. Every hour on the hour. I think while I was there he called everyone in his phone book twice.

So Ryan ended up with a plate and some screws. He has been in the hospital since Saturday night, and the bills are starting to pile up on him. I am in the process of putting together a benefit contest for him to help out pay the bills. It is looking like the date will be Saturday Sept. 22, out front of Undercover Skateshop. I would love to do it at a skate park but I know I will get a lot more peole to show knowing they dont need a skate card or pads to skate. It was such a good weekend, for Ryan up until this happend. He filmed 4 tricks and a run, won $200 bucks, and was having a good time.

Here is Tim with a backside lip, and Ryan lurking in the shadows.

Well this it for now. I will keep everyone posted on Ryan's status and the contest specs.

NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH

So that is what Nike is calling their first full video.

http://www.skateparkoftampa.com/spot/shop_productdetail.aspx?ProductID=17652

If it was anything like the short promo they did a few years ago it should be amazing.

So that is all I can come up with. Two parts left. John and Mitch. Here they both are. Enjoy.

Ghostly blunted.

Filming has begun on a for the new video. Thanks to Stefano who came over to aid me today when I needed to shoot photos. Brandon fully noseblunted here going to fakie at a new spot here.

Wasn't exactly sure which one I wanted to post so I let you see them both. Today from the video closet comes the part of the man from the photos. Brandon.

?

X Games suck. When Neon Leon is talking about them I know its wack, not that I already didnt think that but just to put the icing on the cake. Anyways.. It is looking very good for Mitch and John for one in a million. I know for sure one of them will make the top 5 cut. Today from the closet comes the part of none other than probably the only other person who reads this, Teak.

Went out and shot with Andrew Nediymer today after the soggy day, Andrew with out a doubt is one of the nicest kids I have ever met and he rips. I shot a few things with him, if it dont run I will put it up here. all I can say is he did a dope fs bluntslide to regular on a certin Orlando bank spot that Theny has yet to skate. We also skated a brick bank spot with some stairs in the middle that was once deemed unskateable, the spot has been fixed up a little and is good for sure.

Straight outta fish cow

One of the lesser remembered parts in my opinion, but still a good one of Josh Dyess and Mike Compton. I remember Compton wanting to skate to of course Straight outta Compton, but I didnt really like it and it didnt fit at all. Rakewon just fit it better.

Compton/Fishcow duo

Looks like the new camera and lens set up will be here around the 14th of this month, waiting on the backorder. two words.. fully corn'd. coming soon.
